Miami Dolphins waive former Auburn cornerback

I have read from the AL.com news that the Miami Dolphins have waived a former Auburn cornerback. On Wednesday, the NFL team waived cornerback Javaris Davis with two days remaining in the Miami Dolphins' offseason program. The Dolphins cut the former Auburn stand-out to sign linebacker Porter Gustin. Davis spent the past two seasons on the Dolphins practice squad before signing a reserve/future deal on January 11. Davis has 150 tackles, 11 for loss, eight interceptions, and 27 pass breakups in four seasons at Auburn. On September 30, 2017, Davis returned an interception 37 yards for a score in a 49-10 victory over Mississippi State. Davis entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie on April 30, 2020, signing with the Kansas City Chiefs. On July 27, 2020, the Dolphins claimed Davis after the Chiefs discarded him. Read more
